Dear Delegates, Advisors, Chaperones, and Parents,

My name is Aryan Gautam, and I am honoured to serve as the Secretary-General of the inaugural Global Hearts Local Hands Model UN Conference 2024. On behalf of our dedicated team and the Board of Directors at Global Hearts Local Hands, I extend a heartfelt invitation to our very first Model UN conference, to be held in 2025, at Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

At Global Hearts Local Hands, we have been deeply committed to serving our community for several months, focusing on initiatives such as food and care package distributions, community events, and volunteering efforts. However, we believe it's time to amplify our impact by integrating the power of diplomacy and global dialogue into our mission. We are dedicated to fostering a humanitarian approach in our Model UN conference, empowering youth to engage with and think critically about humanitarian and global issues.

This conference is not just about diplomatic simulations; it's about inspiring young minds to tackle pressing humanitarian challenges head-on. Our aim is to create a platform where delegates can engage in meaningful dialogue, develop empathy, and explore innovative solutions to complex problems. Together, we will address crucial issues such as refugee rights and protection, combatting human trafficking, access to healthcare in conflict zones, drug trafficking and illicit drug trade, gender-based violence, child rights and protection, and climate refugees and environmental displacement.

As we embark on this journey together, we are committed to ensuring that every delegate has the opportunity to make their voice heard and contribute to positive change. Our conference will not only provide valuable insights into global affairs but also foster personal growth and inspire a lifelong commitment to humanitarian causes.
